Got Beats: Producer & Audio Engineer Fair

Every producer needs an artist and every artist needs a producer. We are hosting our first ever Got Beats Producer & Audio Engineer Fair in order to connect artists to producers. Our goal is to facilitate relationships that are mutually beneficial, and to foster new creative relationships and partnerships. We also want to foster more collaboration within Chicago’s music ecosystem!

Producers please bring a device (laptop, iPad or phone) so that artist(s) can plug in their headphones to listen to your portfolio. Please also bring your own headphones so that you can listen to the artists and other producers. Producers you are also welcome to bring branded table cloths, business cards, stickers, and any other swag you’d like to distribute (these items must be available for free to attendees). The only thing that you can sale are your tracks.

Artists, please bring your own headphones to be able to plug into the devices to hear the producers & audio engineers. You are welcome to bring business cards, swag, merch or anything else you’d like to distribute (these items must be available for free to attendees).

We will provide the tables and electricity for you to plug into. We will also have extension cords and signage available.

(A) Artists & producers are responsible for working out the terms of ownership, leasing vs. licensing and payment. We strongly encourage you to use contracts and to document transactions in writing (via e-mail).

(B) We will not intervene or be involved in any mediation or legal disputes and we will not be involved in contract fulfillment.

(C) We will be following up with both artists and producers post-event for a survey regarding the event and will allow both artists and producers to submit any feedback. If there are complaints that can be verified, or if multiple artists or producers have similar complaints we reserve the right to ask artists and producers not to participate in future events and programs.

(D) All participants will need to sign a Media Release and a Participant Release on the day of the event in order to participate.

If you would like to participate as a Producer, Audio Engineer or Artist, please complete the appropriate application below.
